About Her Royal Poshness
My real name is Mariya and I am the president and founder of Maribra LLC. I am from Nigeria, a country in West Africa. I am 23 but I look and sound 15 
(which I guess will be amazing in future). I have a Bachelor’s degree in Anatomy and I’m currently in my final year of medical school. Hopefully by July 2010 I will be Bsc MBChB.
The name ‘Poshness’ was given to me by some school mates out of spite and I decided to keep it.
Med school is very hard work but I am obsessed with beauty and make-up and I try to create time for my blog and community. I started blogging in December 2008 because I was inspired by MissAnnaBanna. I draw a lot of inspiration from Brittany of Clumps of Mascara and Christine of Temptalia and I met them both summer 2009. I love meeting people and experimenting with life generally. I am a natural risk taker, very unpredictable and spontaneous. Some unusual things about me are my total disregard for my eyebrows and total mascara fail.
I am a trained make-up artist and enjoy doing it when I find the time. I have a tendency towards natural products and even though make-up is my main hobby, I have others like belly dancing, cooking, art (drawing and painting). I enjoy anything which is mentally stimulating.
I plan to open an online store soon and hope to make my own line in future.
